Historica Canada held a contest for elementary and high school students which showcased how they remember the First and Second World Wars. This contest was nation wide and touches on the subject of Canada’s involvement in these wars. This link shows the winning art and writing submissions in three categories: Elementary, Junior, and Senior. This contest challenged students to reflect on how the First and Second World Wars are remembered and commemorated in Canada and then create their own original work based on that reflection. Each category has a 1st-3rd ranking and is posted on the website with a little bit about the author who produced it.
